The Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 12/31/2011 is available for viewing in my office during open hours.
Effective May 1, 2011, the office of the Town Clerk will issue and grant ALL building permits during open hours or by appointment.
Structures requiring permits:
  1. singlewides, doublewides, modulars
  2. porches and decks
  3. swimming pools
  4. barns and other agricultural buildings over 100 sq. ft.
  5. garages and car ports
  6. additions over 100 sq. ft.
  7. storage sheds over 100 sq. ft.
  8. gazebos
  9. pole barns
  10. new home construction
and any remodel jobs which require structural changes to existing construction.

You must obtain your building permit from me, the Town Clerk, and include any necessary septic/well permits.  Pictures and/or sketches of the site and structure will be required.
    Effective September 8, 2010,the position of Dog Control Officer for the Town of Lapeer is contracted with the Cortland County SPCA, located at 879 McLean Rd, Cortland, NY.  Dog licensing remains with the Town Clerk but issues involving dangerous, disruptive, abandoned, injured, running-at-large, or unlicensed dogs should be addressed to the SPCA at 753-9386.
